October 1970 – April 1975 general civil law practice with the firm of Lovell, Lyle and Cobb in Dumas, Texas. Duties included representing business and individual clients in a general civil law practice with a heavy emphasis on trial work.

January 1979 – February 1990 Partner in the law firm of Metcalf & Minkley, P.C. Dumas, Texas. General practice of law in a small town. Metcalf & Minkley, P.C. represented individual and business clients in a wide variety of civil matters as well as criminal cases. As a general civil trial lawyer Mike represented clients in a diverse range of litigation that included business litigation, insurance defense, family law, personal injury, probate and criminal trial law.

February 1990 – September 1997 Associate with The Law Office of Windle Turley, P.C. Engaged exclusively in a civil trial litigation practice representing victims in a broad spectrum of personal injury, civil rights and employment cases.

January 1997 – Present – principal of Metcalf Mediation & Arbitration Services Engaged in the mediation and arbitration of any and all types of civil matters involving Business, Family, Injury, Divorce, Corporate, Insurance and Labor

January 1980 — Present received and has maintained an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell

1991 – Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law–Texas Board of Legal Specialization
